Signature Beat Productions
Signature Beat Productions was first established in 2004 by music producer JD Grabel aka Signature. Signaure hails from Hilo, Hawaii and now lives in Virginia Beach, VA. Signature established a love for Hip Hop & R&B at a very young age and began writting songs and melodies at the age of 15. At 17 years old he turned his attention to producing after hearing a song from up and coming producer Timbaland. That song was none other than "Pony" by Ginuwine. That song launched Timbalands career into the foreground and established him as one of the greatest producers of the late 90's. Signature wanted nothing more than to establish his own sound and unique style on par with that of the great Timbaland. Signature realized that all songs need a great producer to give it that edge, and that unique sound. So he then refoucused his attention to creating those beats and sounds. Now living in Viginia Beach, Signature is looking to spread that Island sound with that of the east coast and dirty south, without jumping on the band wagon as so many other producers have. You can have your music appeal to the masses without following the trend. Always stay creative and you'll stay one step ahead of the game.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Est. 2004 by one man, armed with nothing more than his skills and a dream. One man, One sound.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
The only Instrument that I really play is Keys. I'm not really keen on playin live yet. I'm more dedicated in the beat making process, and from time to time, recording an MC in the studio. But as I develop my skills more I'll probably take that next step.
Your musical influences
Timbaland/ Dr. Dre/ The Neptunes/ Just Blaze/ Scott Storch/Mannie Fresh/Kanye West and The Alchemist. Or anyone with a love for music.
