We're Side Project, from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We play music that is based in Funk but has elements of Rock, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Electronica. We're a jam band, but we're anything but the norm...
Band/artist history
Started in early 2014, Side Project has a long history of non-existence. After years of playing shows with the likes of Janis Joplin, Miles Davis, Band of Gypsies, and Led Zeppelin all throughout India and western Asia, the members of Side Project were finally born in the early 1980's. Raised on ABBA, Jesus Jones, and the Eurythmics, we all went insane by the age of 5. Now we spend our time making noise and cleverly relabeling it "music" before it is shipped out to Malaysia to be animated
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Live performances are the strength of Side Project. We take chances, and love the interaction we share with our audiences.
Your musical influences
Our influences include Phish, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Primus, MMW, Galactic, Outkast, the Roots, and many others.
What equipment do you use?
We use standard drum/bass/guitar rigs, but our horn section uses vocal effects, octave effects and more to create ambient sounds and trippy soundscapes.
Anything else?
We're on our way...

WOW! Just heard "Lil' dab". The whole vibe of that tune is eerily cool even thru my crappy dial-up connection streaming at 24 kbs(lo fi). I dig the horns on that tune. Similar feel to what I did on "Gongzo" except that mine are virtual. Where do you guys play? Keep it up!
