SHUNDRE DA PERSONA
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
In a life-long battle of self, SHUNDRE DA PERSONA comes the combination of the developed personality formerly known as “Pyro and Shundre himself. In an everlasting battle with one’s self and placement within society, Shundre faced a great deed of obstacles coming up. Raised in a single parent military household, leaving the comforts of his home of Albany, Ga at the age of 5, Shundre struggled with the change and constant relocation, making seclusion a major part of his younger life. Through all the bottled up emotions and uncertainties of life and somehow always feeling different, it often left him with little to strive for. However, music kept him willing to push through the daily challenges we call living. As tattooed on his neck "music is my salvation" Shundre focused on putting his struggles into his music and like many, turn a negative into a positive. Through poetry eventually leading to his first song “Trilogy, he found a new light. From constant anger and sorrow due to a childhood of being a misfit, Pyro was born (a more ruthless, aggressive side of Shundre that fights to get out daily). Still fighting to find self and place in society, he lets you in and expose you to the depths of skeletons in his closet. As he would say "f*** the fame, I do the music for the therapy" Shundre Da Persona has now found a confidence in music and in doing so, invites you along as he overcomes triumphs, uncertainties, temptations, and a life-long skirmish of criticisms leading into the victory of never giving up and fulfilling a dream. Will he succeed and fill the void that for so long irritated and confused his sole purpose? Or will he fall and let the failures of his past overwhelm him? It's a battle of good and evil taking place in an individual body. Who will win? Only time will tell...
