SHRINIVAS UDUPA
Born eldest of three siblings to Late Smt.Indira and sri Seetharam udupa in 1950 atNagara,Shimoga District.Nagara Shrinivas Udupa inherits a rich
legacy of abundantly talented,music loving illustrious family that has spread its wings over 4 generations.
Grown under the able tutelage of late grand father Sri Krishna Udupa a well known percussionist(Mridangam) of his times and father,Sri Seetharama Udupa a singer of repute in carnatic classical music.Nagara Srinivas Udupa developed keennessin music at a very
young age.
Subsequently,he developed special liking for sugama sangeet and started
giving performances from 1967 before performing in ALL India Radio and
Doordarshan as a graded artist.
