Shoeless Joe
Shoeless Joe
Jeff, Chris, Jim and Keith - 4 friends who have been playing together for over 6 years now- describe their band as a conglomeration of styles and influences from the 70's through the 90's.
Jeff credits the band's longevity on friendship and musical differences. "We're all into sports, love a good party, and hang together, so when we start to write the music, the arguing and black eyes are taken in stride, and I think we get better songs as a result."
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Their 1997 self-titled debut was recorded in 5.1 DTS surround sound for Image entertainment, and released worldwide after local producer David Frangioni (Aerosmith, Paula Abdul) heard the band's demo and signed them to a year management deal. The first track on the CD, "The Bet", was the second song EVER to be recorded in the then new format, and resides on the DTS system demo disk along side SEAL and BOYS2MEN, which is distributed with every system sold.
On Dec. 10, 1999, after 2 years of local touring in the New England area, the band released their 2nd album, "SOLO", on their own label, Jumpa Records. It instantly received some local radio support.
"We're pretty excited about the reception the CD is getting", says Chris, "It's inspired us to work even harder on promotion and to look for a distribution deal."
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We are currently touring New England until we head back to the studio later this fall to start production on our next album.
