Shitkickers
Howdy y'all! we are the Shitkickers. We are a hard-rock-punk-powerpop band straight outta the good the bad and the ugly. (that's a western movie with Clint Eastwood for you younger folks).
We are serious about our music, but we like to have fun. So we play fast and sing loud and write lyrics about things that amuse us. We have a real "gunslinger in the saloon" kind of vibe that we consider both humorous and entertaining. Our music has alot of energy, and we're
real happy with it.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The band has been playing together since '93. We were going to do a wedding, and started learning country covers and after a while we could write our own country covers. So we did and they came out sounding a little different from country music. we have been playing in Sacramento and beyond ever since
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
The Shitkickers are a TOTAL live band. We love to play anywhere. We have played all over the Sacramento area and have also gigged in the bay area, San Jose, Reno, etc.One special moment was when we improvised a whole song onstage based on a song title from the previous band's set list. 200 people were dying laughing. very funny.
Your musical influences
The tempo is fast, the guitars are heavy, the bass is low, we all sing-hamonize, we are having alot of fun with our music and it comes across quite well. we are influenced by evryone we hear and it doesn't seem to come out in our songs.
