My name is Nils-Ole Finbak and I come from Bodø, Norway! I was so lucky to get to know Melanie and create this music with her!! I play piano/keyboards, acoustic and electric guitars and sing a little!! Watch this website, because there will be lots more music from us as time goes by, and not all of it can be found other places!!!

My name is Melanie Fudge. I'm from Wales in the UK. It has been a pleasure to collaborate with Nils-Ole! I think that his music and my voice fit very well together. I have been writing / playing guitar for under two years, and have 25 originals to date. The collabs are rising daily!

Shining voice history
The story of Shining voice started at the later part of November 2005 when we (Melanie and me) got in touch via the internet and started making music together!! We very soon found out that this collaboration worked very well!! I made a number of music recordings in Norway, sent them over to Wales via the net and got them back with vocals on (There were also some that Melanie got directly from my Soundclick page)! Some of these were my music that Melanie made lyrics and vocal melody to and some were Melanie's songs!!!
We were so thrilled with the results that we constantly started working on new tracks!!!
A month or so later we have 21 tracks completed and there are several more "in the pipeline"!!! That should count for a place in the "Guinness book of records", or what??? All of these tracks (and more....) can be found on this website where you always can find out what kind of musical adventure we are up to next!!! (Many more songs would have been recorded had I not been so ill - with no voice for weeks! - Mel).
It's hard to categorize our music as we try to do many different things, but "melodic" is a keyword in all we do!! In addition to songs in different styles we have made some songs that go together as trilogies!! There are three trilogies (..a trilogy of trilogies...) so far: One about a balloon, a Xmas trilogy and one about an umbrella!!! We have no specific plans for the next one, but there might be more of those!!!!
One thing is for certain, the story of the Shining voice collaboration has just begun.........!!!!

...and now it's suddenly almost the end of July (time flies) and Melanie has started recording vocals for a new project called "One Voice, One World, One Vision", with lyrics by Richard Anderson and music by me (and Melanie)!!! Details will follow!! More Shining voice songs will follow when time permits!!!

Nils is currently in Norway, and Melanie is currently in the UK - so no - but never say never.
Your musical influences
Nils-Ole: The American singer/songwriter with the Swedish sounding name Dan Fogelberg (he has ancestors in Scandinavia) is my biggest influence! He is a master at everything I try to do: Guitarist, piano and keyboardplayer, songwriter and singer!!!

Hi Nils,
come over when you can and check out a cover song I recorded with Tomas Malmberg which is recording an acoustic album in my studio. This was only a heat up song but we decited to record it just for fun. It's "Hallelujah" I'm not into cover songs but this is an exception.. free download for anyone who likes it:-)
