Shifter was formed in the summer of 2002 by vocalist/guitarist John Dickie and bassist Matt Crigger. The current line up was finialized in November of 2003 with the move to Jay Graham on drums and the addition of Jeff McNab on guitar. Shifter has made there name with their "less is more" approach, allowing them to draw a fan base from a very large age group. Fans of music in general can relate to Shifter's blend of funk, reggae, classic rock, blues, and hard rock with a dash of "guitarmony".
