Hello Dan,
I've sent you two e-mails concerning a request you made and got no reply. I'm wondering if you aren't getting the e-mails. If you are simply busy, that's cool.
Blessings,
Cam

Thanks for the visit to the Sad Hill Cemetery music page! I appreciate the listen and the comments! I am listening to your piece as I type - I like the way it builds, and like Cam below, I don't know a lot about the Electronica genre, but this is nice! It reminds me sonically of Orchestral Manouvres in the Dark (OMD) from a by-gone era, or possibly Simple Minds.

Hi Dan
Thanks for browsing my material and leaving a message. I get some plays but not a lot of comments. It's hard to gauge my progress without many comments.
I do a lot of mixed genre and mood music, which gets played but doesn't generally generate a lot of comment.
I'm just learning the keyboard and all the bells and whistles (pun intended).
My primary reason for using the keyboard is for the percussion. I couldn't get anyone to add drums to my music so I had to try to do it myself. I only have an (ancient by modern standards) Radio Shack Concertmate VT, a toy really, but better than nothing. Most of what I've done is with the presets. I'm still working on putting the midi capabilities to work.
I'm glad there are those who enjoy some of what I've done on it. I'm getting better as I go along.

Sorry to flood your board, but wanted to add that the track stands up well. I've listened a few times now and like it, quite a bit. I don't know why, but there's a sort of Bach feel to it. Can't put my finger on why I think so.

Oh, sorry...I meant to comment on your tune as well. Electronica is a hard genre to impress me with, not because I dislike it, but because it always seems like: 'been there, heard that.' However, I think this composition has a very soothing effect. In fact, Fred's comments (below) are pretty much on the money - thoughtful and accurate. My own approach with electronica is to try and get a strong hook - so there is a memorable tune - then trick it out with oddities. Sort of strewing ear candy about, to engage the listener. If you are interested, my Sonic Salad and Beatz Me pages have (almost) exclusively electronic instrumental work.
Take care and make no secret of your faith.
Blessings,
Cam

Thank you, Dan the Panda Man, for your comments on Buyer Beware. Shibboleth was INDEED a secret, but you can't hear how I'm pronouncing it so I should be safe. :D You are right that the vocals on Buyer Beware are odd. Listen in lofi and they disappear. I used Superstereo to turn them 90 degrees to the recording. Cool effect, as long as people listen in stereo. lol. Blessings,
Cam

"Salvation" sounds very soothing and captivating. The panning side to side in wide stereo separation provides a sense of movement. The selection of instruments and arrangement have a retro psychadellic, yet distinctly modern ambient sound. While listening I could almost imagine a story unfolding. It reminds me of the soundtrack used for the production of "In The Mind's Eye".
Very good. As is, it is sufficient to stand alone as an instrumental. It would also be satisfactory as sound track material for a video production.
Hey, sorry it took me so long to review that track, but in other news...I like it!
