tried sending an email but got zapped back to me...so i'll try here.
I was wondering what that tune is to the sheep song...my mother used to
play it over and over when she was learning to play the violin...but I
can't remember the name...can you help me out here?

A DJ mix of Flower Of Scotland is a good idea - trouble is, we're sick of that tune. We must've heard it about a zillion times (which is quite a lot). We might have a go at doing one of Burns' less known works - Nine Inch Will Please A Lady. You don't hear that one much at The Land O' Burns Centre.
Good to see that "I Need A Sheep" is getting the credit it deserves, BTW.

Well you didn't really think that the Irish settlers would be resouceful enough to come up with this inventive way to relieve the boredom in the high country did you ?

What's all this about "sheep shagging being introduced to New Zealand by early Scots settlers in the 1800's"?
You wouldn't be trying to pull the wool over our eyes now, would you?
Just touches me whenever I hear this song. My brother in law was called Wee Willie and this was played when his ashes were scattered in the Blue Mountains in Eastern Washington State. kasey
