Biography
For over 15 years the members of Shelter with Thieves have been engulfed in various musical endeavors. Everything from record, show promotions, national and international booking, tour management and playing in bandsof course.
From the ashes of Halifax's Shyne Factory and Newfoundland's Bucket Truck, Shelter with Thieves have collectively shared the bill with a diverse list of top notch artist including, The Might Mighty Bosstones, Sum 41, Treble Charger, Matt Good, Our Lady Peace, Big Sugar, Sloan, H20, gob, Finger Eleven, The Guess Who, Fishbone and Slayer to name a few. Shelter with Thieves feel most at ease amongst a large crowd, and their passion for music is undeniable. Shelter with Thieves are artists in the true sense of the word.
In June of 05 Shelter with Thieves teamed up with Juno winner, gold record producer, and more importantly friend, Laurence Currie and made a dark and dirty rock record called "Shadows of Influence". The record saw several placements in MTV's Road rules and Pimp my ride and kicked up some dust with the first single "Valley of the gun". The video for "Valley of the Gun" produced with help from Videofact, tells part 2 of a series of events in which the band unsuccessfully try their hands at a heist. The controversial video shows the nature of apparently failing at such a task and has had rave reviews from their 12000 plus myspace.com fans and thriller and horror genre lovers alike.

The new record from Shelter with Thieves is scheduled for release in early November 2007 and has been a few years in the making. All good things take time, and with some help from the Nova Scotia Department of Tourism and Culture, the band's self produced effort will first affirm a stronghold on East Coast Canadian rock and then the rest of the world.
In support of the new record, Shelter with Thieves will be hitting the highways of North America to show off to the rest of the continent their high energy hard hitting infectious live show. Europe can't escape and are doomed to suffer the same fate when Shelter with Thieves visit in 2008.
This may be the first time you've heard the name Shelter with Thieves, the next time it will be from someone you know.
