Sheena Player, now 19, first made her vocal skill apparent when she first sang as an infant according to her mother, at that moment Sheenas parents realized her gift. Sheenas talent matured and blossomed through the years so much so, that by the age of nine she began singing professionally. On her ascent, Sheena has recorded with several well-known producers in the industry, such as Donald XL Robertson, Joseph Liemberg, Gorden Campbell, Jim Gittum and Eric Seats/Rapture Stewart. She had the opportunity to open for the Tampax Total You Tour 2002 in Los Angeles featuring Amerie and Queen Latifah. She has also been a featured performer at Magic Johnsons Annual Midsummer Nights Mardi Gras and numerous local events. Sheena is currently touring the with ARP Productions, Aids responsibility project, she recently performed in Washington D.C. and Toronto, Canada and is schedule to perform at numerous venue within United States as well as oversees. Since Sheena aspires to be in a category of great musicians, she instantly took to a studious admiration of great vocalist such as Deborah Cox, Whitney Houston, Faith Evans, Kelly Price and Lauryn Hill just to name a few. Not only is Sheena a breathtaking singer, she is also a dynamic songwriter. Sheena declares, Musics my true love I was definitely born to sing, write and perform. Expressing my feelings through my music is my passion. When Im in my creative mode Im at peace. Its the most rewarding feeling to me (words cant explain). Throughout my life everyone called me Songbird. In high school I was always cast in the leading role for all of my school musical programs. Singing is my passion and I know deep in my heart that I was born to sing. Within the past year, Sheena has been preparing for her singing career by being in the studio several days a week writing and recording. She adheres to a strict work out regimen to maintain her self physically and mentally and performs at local events whenever the opportunity arises. Never before has there been such a young talent with the class and intensity of Kelly Price, with the soulful sound of Aretha Franklin, along with a dash of Mary J Bliges edge.
