Sharp Skills

Sharp Skills is definitely on his way to becoming a household name globally. Alongside his God given talent to spit lyrical fire, he has an uncanny work ethic that is very unique for a young person his age. He is not just sitting on his butt waiting to get discovered. He writes songs almost everyday, does several shows a month, and dedicates long hours to recording in the studio. He is a very versatile artist and he goes past Hip Hop's boundaries.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I have shared stages with Joe Budden, The Outlawz, R/B legend Howard Hewitt, and Jazz legend Pancho Sanchez. I released my debut album "The Responsibility of Sharp Skills" in November of 2004. This is a very strong album with a lot of depth and insight in it. I am very proud of this project.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Right now I am focusing a lot on the Westcoast. So you can catch me anywhere from Seattle, Portland, Oakland, or Los Angeles. I love to perform. I thrive off of it. One of my many highlights is seeing Joe Budden's jaw drop when I spitted a nice accapella verse.
Your musical influences
Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gay, Earth Wind and Fire, Anita Baker, Zap and Roger, Sting, Michael McDonald, Jay-Z, Tupac, Talib Kweli, Ras Kass, Japhia Life, Gibraan, Kurupt.
Anything else?
Make sure to copp "The Responsibilty of Sharp Skills". You will be highly satisfied with your purchase. I am a new breed of MC. I got the confidence of a Jay-Z, the passion of a Tupac, the conscienceness of a Talib Kweli, and the ability to make hot records in bulk like a 50 cent.
