Shapeshift

Shapeshift describe their music as Brain-Metal - music which will twist your brain. But don't be afraid, there are no harmful side effects, the knots in your brain loosen automatically when you get to know the music better. To be more precise one could also say Shapeshift are playing hard progressive metal without excessive playfulness. Combining progressive elements with catchy melodies in a fascinating way, they manage to make uneven rhythms fit into very clear compositions. Fractious energy and delight in playing their music is what Shapeshift can be characterized with on stage. With their distinctive appearance the band satisfies the audience every time anew and is thereby always able to avoid negatives characteristic for this music-genre. Shapeshift are living their music with every tone and this is exactly what the audience realizes.
Band/artist history
The band was founded in early 2002. The first half year was stamped by the search for an appropriate rehearsal room, the whole next year by the search for an appropriate singer. Then Bernd came. With Bernd the songs written so far have been refined with vocals. Now it was the time to present the music both live and on CD. With the CD "Confusedated", produced all by ourselves in summer 2004, we are working hard on our live-presence. Additionally pathbreaking new material for the next album is in development...
