good morro to yee .... how's it goin? we're shallowdepth, a band straight from the depths of shallow ol' clacton .... we have no strict guidelines for what we play, take sections of grunge and punk-rock, throw it in with dashes of metal, a pinch of melody, extract the screamcore, and fuse with metallica-esq riffage ... voila, shallowdepth
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
the band's been running for about 2 1/2 years now .... it consists of moi (freyt, vocals, guitar), mikell (vocals guitar), blowergoat (bass) and andy (drumms) all ya really need to know ...
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
we love to play live wherever we can ... great fun and a great rush so totally awesome, we've played at a few places but we've have trouble organising gigs recently because nowhere's heard of us ... so hopefully soon that'd be history
Your musical influences
evvvverything from the grimey depths of extreme death metal to easy listening and country ... noooo kidding. some of my own personal favourite bands are ... system of a down, metallica, the used, slayer, stone sour, soundgarden, smashing pumpkins, QOTSA, pearl jam, pantera, melvins, meshuggah, lordi, ledzep, biffy clyro, black label society, alice in chains, ACDC and many many moree ...... ooooh and chimpspanner rule .... listen to chimpspanner if you havent already ... and if you have? listen again fool!
What equipment do you use?
i use an ibanez rg550, or my ibanez artcorem semi-acoustic and sometimes my blessed encore strat copy i picked up for a bargain, mike uses a purple ibanez rg550 and an aria semi acoustic, he also has a gould black gothic les paul, and his squier strat, blowergoat uses a 5 string dean silver bass, and sometimes his red yamaha 4 string, and andy (deep breathes) uses:

For cymbals i have Zildjian ZBT Plus: a 20" ride, 16" crash a 14" crash and 14" Hi-Hats, I also have three Sabian Pro Sonix cybals: a 17" crash, an 18" china, and a custom 8" splash.
Now i'm picky with my sticks i have to use 'Vic Firth' pitch paired, 'Extreme American Classics' or 'John Otto' signatures! all have to be 5A's!
All hardware is Premier, Ludwig, Sonor, Yamaha, Gibraltar, Pearl or Mapex.
I also have some kick-ass percussion dingly things, and a cow-bell
Lastly i have a PHAT, Mapex pro Double bass pedal
