Shadow Circus Creature Theatre
Shadow Circus Creature Theatre is San Francisco's most belligerent and destructive musical puppetry troupe. Mixing Lovecraftian horror, pagan folklore, pop-culture parody and South Park-style debauchery, Shadow Circus Creature Theatre has incurred both praise and loathing in the Bay Area art scene.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Creator Dave Haaz-Baroque studied puppetry under the Los Angeles Guild of Puppetry and the Jim Henson Foundation. He studied the accordion by getting drunk in the Tenderloin. You can tell.
Other members include Lance Eason of the rock group Radiostar, Medea Lopez, and DJ Jester Pezz.

Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Shadow Circus Creature Theatre performs quite often, more often then not in the San Francisco Tenderloin district; the decrepit ghetto that inspires most of the scripts.
Your musical influences
The music changes with every show, but it's primarily played on an antiquated accordion. Influences include Tom waits, Tiger Lillies, the Muppet show...
What equipment do you use?
Plaster of Paris, Amaco brand Liquid Latex, Glass Taxidermy Eyes, Fun Fur, lots and lots and of alcohol!
