Sever The Hand stands for bringing a style of real metal into the world that was forgotten about and bogged down by mtv's own brand of crap. Nobody knows, appreciates or cares about anything outside of mtv and that's pretty sad. Congratulations to the few good bands that have made it to mtv status, we applaud you. But look outside of what you're given on tv every day, and what you're fed daily. Sever the Hand, short in meaning for "sever the hand that feeds", is about looking past what you've been given and figuring out things for yourself and developing your own opinions and your own decisions about the world instead of blindly accepting anything someone tells you. The quest for awareness; start caring about the world that you live in and do something about all the injustice that happens every day. take a step to represent what really matters, and support your local musicians if it weren't for music there'd be no inspiration in the world. Stay true to yourself and don't let anyone tell you that you're not good enough, don't let them force feed you lies. FIGHT BACK!!
Band/artist history
Formed out of the ashes of failed bands with countless people, "Sever The Hand" came into existance. Joe M. the founding member, enlisted the help of former "Blood of the Fallen", and As We Fall" band-mate Chris Craig to create something metal and unseen in the current music scene. After much searching around to find reliable members to fill the missings spots. Brandon and Jimmy were found in Syracuse through mutual friends to take the job with D-Bo ending the line-up. The current line-up is as follows, Joe-Lead Guitars, Chris Rhythm Guitars, Jimmy-Bass, Brandon-Drums, and D-Bo-Vocals, and occassional assistance by Cat-Keyboards. This is truly a force to be reckoned with!
