One year later, Severe began to memorize R&B songs. The love for music Severe had at a very young age, grew with her and is the outline of her own original creative work. Her catalog now includes rap/hiphop, r&b, and alternative. Severe can write lyrics to any style of music. As a child, Severe wanted to take music lessons and learn to play instruments. However, her mother was not able to afford the lessons, so Severe turned to writing. Writing didn't require money so Severe spent hours in her bedroom composing songs, writing short stories and poetry. At the age of 13, Severe decided to branch out and began writing rap. As a freshman in high school, rap moved to the forefront of Severe's repertoire. When she was 17, Severe took another step in her music journey by learning the art of producing. One year later, Severe was behind the board as an engineer. Severe has captivated audiences on the local club scene and is now branching out to the industry. She wants to take music to a new level. Severe uses an unknown style that has yet to surface. She states, "I tell realistic stories that people can relate to, I just want everybody to hear what I have to say."
