Seven Mile Ride
Seven Mile Ride is a rock machine in motion. Made up of long time musicians, we keep our sound interesting and melodious. Familiar, but just different enough to not be boring. We are active on msypace. Go to www.myspace.com/sevenmileride and request our freindship.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Bands form in much the same way. Some dude sees the reactions of the ladies when another dude plays the guitar, and realizes his destiny to become a "chick magnet" by playing the guitar and becoming a Rock God. Somewhere along the way, it gets deeper and becomes more of an expression and a way to relay your feelings and you find other musicians that like the same music you play, and you play the songs together.
It's a simple formula. Learn your instrument, place or reply an ad to find other people who have learned their instrument. Get together and see if you have that chemistry, both musically and personally. Mix ingredients into a microwave safe bowl and nuke the world on high for a lifetime. If you're lucky, that is.
We are four guys that have a love for music and exude it in every aspect of our lives. Our lead guitarist, Randy Shemwell, is married to an awesome singer, who has a son that is in a band. Our drummer, Steve Humphrey, has fronted many a working band, even making that his living once upon a time. Our bass player, Tom Langran, has been playing music since high school, and even played the big clubs in D.C. Shayne Rushton, Singer/guitarist grew up in a family where each member sings or plays one or more instruments. For Shayne, there was five food groups, music being the first.
Destiny is a terrible word in my opinion. This band just has music in its veins and wants to play it for you, so we are going to do just that. So listen, relate, and enjoy, but most importantly, buy our album!!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We have played Petes Pub and Grill, Big Daddys in Woodinville, and the Central Saloon in Pioneer Square. Dont forget our debut performance at Melanie's party.
Your musical influences
