We are Setting The Bar, but we are periodically changing our name till we find something that is most suitable to our music. Right now we are a 3 piece emo/screamo/rock/acoustic group based in the lower mainland of British Columbia

Band/artist history

Well one day at a local show, Jeremie (Guitar) asked me (Bassist) to start a band with him. We were named the Black Roses and played all acoustic stuff, then we added Nicole as the drummer and we became some basic rock. A second guitarist made his way in for a lil while, but things got difficult so we parted ways, and now we are progressivly becoming more screamo and rock oriented, but we still play a few acoustic songs

Have you performed in front of an audience?

yes we play live at several different places. From clubs to birthdays, to random fields scattered about the cities.... ok the field thing only happened once, but still!

Your musical influences

Well as a whole, I don't really know everyone's influences, however Jeremie probably has alot of metal, where as my influences are generated from badns such as Atreyu and From Autumn To Ashes, and Nicole is influenced by most things, from classical music (being a pianist as well) to the rock. Right now shes big into Cursive, Underoath, Straylight Run, and other such bands.

What equipment do you use?

Guitarist uses - 12-string Takamine, Acoustic Guitar "jeff", Borrowed Fender, Marshall Amp, Traynor Amp, Peavey Amp

Bassist Uses - 4 String Dean Edge 4 Bass, Yamaha 4 string Fretless bass, Peavey Bass Amp

Nicole - 5 piece pearl drumkit
