acoustic indie folk rock that is genuine and heartfelt...doubt, fear and love.
Band/artist history
Passion, enthusiasm and sincerity are paramount in the life of a singer/songwriter looking for a voice to sing with and an ear to embrace. Seth Richardson encapsulates all these virtues into his heartfelt and genuine songs. Trying to make a name for himself, he continues to add fans to his ever growing roster as he tours New England in support of his album, "17 Songs", a compilation of previous demos and EPs. A few years ago, while working at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, RI, Seth gained an appreciation for the art of being a singer/songwriter, closely studying the acts that came through the venue. He developed a love for the freeness of solo acts, performing without the restraint of meter or form. I t wasn't long before he decided to let his music find a following of its own. "After playing in bands for some seven plus years, it was difficult playing out by myself," Seth says. "It was like standing in front of an audience completely naked. The songs I was playing, were all my own. The feelings I was expressing were not a collaboration between band members. They were and still are all my doubts and fears and loves spilled right out onto the stage." Seth retreated to Orleans, Massachusetts, a small surfing town on Cape Cod, to concentrate on perfecting his craft. Planning a tour for late April/early May, he will spend most of his time this winter focusing on writing new materials for his next album due out in the early spring. "For me, it's the songs that will get people to identify with me," says Richardson. "When you put yourself out there and allow people to leave with a part of you, they continue to be inspired by what you sang, even when they can't hear the music."

Hi Seth,
Nathan here (Gene's friend). Can't find my CD's that I bought from you (moved, lots of stuff in boxes) and just had to hear "Good Day for Rain." I like the pure acoustic version, too.
Love this soft deep tone in your voice. Soothing melody. Nice work Seth!
Take Care,
Rosie
