In the summer of 2006 Singaporean 4-piece indie-pop/punk band SET FOR GLORY called an "indefinite hiatus" after almost 3 years since their formation. "Since day one, we've worked our asses off this band, but after three years, you can't help to feel a little burnt out,” said guitarist, and co-founder Sameer Sadhu. "We would love to have taken a short-term break and come back again, but time wasn't on our side with university and other career related commitments looming over all of us. I'm grateful for everything and proud of everything we've accomplished, but most importantly, I’m grateful for having the three best friends who I wouldn't trade for the world. The last three years have been an amazing journey." Bassist Faris Shafie, and the "newest" member of the band added, "The band played a major part of my life, (and) gave me chance to get to know people and the best thing ever is to make music with the best people in my life."
The boys would like to thank JohnC and the rest of the Wakemeup Music family for having faith in us, and supporting us, and would also like to thank Razi Razak and the rest of the Rockstar Collective for their support as well. They would like to take this opportunity to thank all the amazing bands they have had the chance to play alongside with and the friendships they have received as well. And finally, a big thank you to all the fans, and everyone that has every supported them and been there for them and encouraged them since the start.
The curtains have been drawn for now, but when asked about a future reunion; "I am hoping for the best!” Faris said. "Due to other commitments it's not feasible right now. But, maybe in a couple of years."
In a span of under 3 years, the boys of SET FOR GLORY have accomplished more than they could ever dream off. The 4-piece indie-pop/punk have played at international music festivals such as Baybeats, and the Mosaic Festival with some of the biggest indie acts in Asia, as well as international acts such as Jason Mraz, Kings of Convenience, Copeland, and Brandtson.
They have also put out an American release, been on international compilations, sign to the country’s biggest independent label, Wakemeup Music, and sign numerous endorsements with the likes of Dickies Guitar & Accessories, and Crxssmyheart Clothing.Band/artist history

Good job on “Sick and Tired” dudes. The timing on some parts definitely sounds off though. The singing and the guitar aren’t synchronized right. But this song was pretty cool. I loved the guitar slide.Im into all kinds of music and Im into this. Keep it up and the best to you.
