Septuagint LXX
Formed in the summer of 2009, we began doing songs in the sanctuary of our Church on Mondays and Tuesdays. We normally wrote each song in about 90 minutes, then practiced for another hour. We initially made some easy church sound system recordings but the equipment was too buzzy and muddy. Our Church family encouraged us to record a CD so we did. We hope you like our form of Christian Music.
PS: We haven't decided what do do with all of our music. If you would like to perform our music, just send us a note at Septuagintlxx@gmail.com.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Goes like this: In the beginning, God, the Word, was made flesh and dwelt among us.
This God gave up his human life to redeem those who would repent and walk upright in his truth. Then this God shows back up on the day of Pentecost and fills BELIEVERS with the Gift of the Holy Spirit. They ALL spoke with other tongues as the Spirit gave them the ability to do so. This happened to us as well. When God saw us worshiping Him with some crude instruments, He started anointing us with the 8th note to play music for Him. If other people happen to like it, great. But it was written for His ears first. That's the story.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We like the outdoors but Churches are ok. We would play bars and clubs but we figure their booze sales will head down while we jam so we aren't holding our breath. Really, Christian Weddings, Church Concerts, Outdoor Outreaches. Whatever, whenever, Instant in/out of Season.
Your musical influences
