Sedrick the MC

Real name Sedrick Amar II, Sedrick The M.C. is a California Bay Area lyricist who is gaining an expanding fanbase in the local hip-hop scene. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With the help of ETHX, sole producer and owner of indie label Metaphisik Records in Fremont California, Sedrick has finally released his first full length solo album titled "Rosa". The album will be reviewed in Your Music Magazine, which Sedrick has already been interviewed in the Feb. issue; where he discusses details and history about the album. Rosa showcases the growth of the M.C.'s unique interpretation of hip-hop while paired with Ethx's eclectic fusion of beats. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recording his first project "The Color Purple EP" after joining the Metaphisik label in 2004, Sedrick has since lent his talents to two other releases. "Metaphisik Television" (2005), a compilation of songs produced by ETHX from the Metaphisik roster which has gotten positive reviews in Shout Magazine and Your Music Magazine; and also was in Street Light Records top ten sellers for local artist, and "The BLISS EP" (2006). An acronym for Basically Living In Satan's Society, BLISS is a duo formed by Sedrick The M.C. and label mate Wordsmith. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ With his energetic and fun stage presence, Sedrick The M.C. has performed at numerous colleges, bars, and clubs in the Bay Area, L.A., and Las Vegas. Most recently he's opened for Tef Kaluminoti of Roc City Records and performed at a Music Festival where Casual from Hieroglyphics Headlined. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sedrick is currently studying for a bachelor's degree in film at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco.
