Sean Holland
I dunno the proper genre. Anyhow, it's an instrumental with a bit of a Latin swing feel. Guitars, percussion, happy vibe.
Sort of a swing tune. Written to celebrate a Jukai ceremony in which some friends became official Buddhists.
Don't really know the genre. Sort of easy Latin smooth R&B type of thing?
Instrumental done in April '08. Guitars and bass played by Sean Holland, percussion by Gary Prendergast. I can't remember which of us played the harmonica.
Instrumental. Slide guitar, regular guitar, bass, harmonica, percussion.
My version. I made it to try to convince some reluctant members of my band to play it.
Arrangement of the Gershwin tune. A variety of persussion. Guitars, bass, B3 organ.
Music composed and performed by Sean Holland. Lyrics by David Cox. I'm a little proud of the guitar playing here.
1920s standard blues/jazz. Sean on vox and guitar, Gary on percussion.
Arranged for a challenge in a songwriters' newsgroup. Acoustic guitars, bass. The drums are samples triggered by a midi loop by Bill Bruford.
Rock with rhumba groove. Vocals, Les Paul, piano, bass, drums and latin percussion. Written, arranged and performed by Sean in his basement.
A summer song I wrote, sung by my daughter Yuki. Everything else by me (except I instructed a clever robot to play the drums).
Slide guitar in open C tuning, djimbe, eucalyptus seeds, gravelly vocal. Vocals and guitar performed by Sean, jimbe and seeds by Gary Prendergast. Gary provides asthma at the end. ALL REAL, NO MIDI OR ANY OF THAT.
