Screen 66
Screen 66 has been performing and recording in various incarnations since 1984.
It is currently a one man operation but open minded enough to allow input from the outside.
I don't believe in musical boundaries so I play the music that feels right, whatever the style or language.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Started recording in 1984. 1 cassette in 84, 3 indie CDs in the early 90's - Now working on new material (listen to the demos - cuz that's all they are for now...)
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Not very often anymore, I'm getting too old for late nights...
Your musical influences
Maybelle Carter, Tex Lecor,Dylan, John Cage...
What equipment do you use?
An old Yamaha accoustic so beat up that I have to tune it down and use a capo but she's my baby. Also a Yamaha keyboard, a Danelectro 56U2 - man is it ever ugly - some harmonicas and pretty much anything that sounds good and that I can get away with playing...
I record on NTrax studio and use tapes from my live performances as canvas for atmosphere
