BIOGRAPHY Scotty Coles has been involved with Hip-Hop for many years. Since he was 9-years-old, he has been writing and recording songs in hopes that one day he will fulfill his goal to reach the world via his music. Throughout the years, Scotty has experienced many different obstacles to get to the position he's in today (and he still has a long way to go). Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Brandon "Scotty Coles" Scott was always determined to help get his home town recognized for all its great music potential. Living in a quiet, suburban area helped him remain focused on his passion. At the same time, Scotty was exposed to the many troubles of the world through his family and various aquaintences. But of course, in Hip-Hop, "it aint where you from...its where you at." Scotty has sold numerous copies of his works over the past years. In summer 2003, him and his team, Monopoli Entertainment, promoted and pushed many projects in Maryland (close to 400 untis in a few days). Along with that, Scotty has done various shows for high schools and colleges. In August 2005, Coles, along with his cousin Andre Roxx, put together a show in Richmond, Virginia entitled the "Undaground Showcase". He has had local radio spots, including California University's FM 94.5 and most recently WAMO 106.7 FM. In May 2005, Scotty won first place at a talent showcase hosted by High Volume Productions, an Indy label. During 2006, Coles created a 30-track mix tape project entitled Quiet Before the Storm. More than 1000 units have been sold by just a 4 man team in a short amount of time. Also during the early months of 2006, he has done shows (TOUCH NIGHTCLUB, TEQUILA WILLIES...COMING SOON), TV spots (The Ripple Effect hosted by Just Pressin' Buttons), and was artist of the week on UBL (Ultimate Band List) Online. Scotty has had publications in different periodicals such as the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Pittsburgh Courier, Pittsburgh City Paper, and the North Journal. Not only is he a devoted emcee, Scotty is an experienced producer. He has been producing for years and has developed his own techniques and styles to make some hot material. He has produced for various local artist. Scotty is also a graphic design major and has designed numerous projects. He also has a minor in marketing and real-world experience in the field from selling his cd's in various areas to getting his projects and other materials inside of different stores around Pittsburgh. Scotty Coles is constantly working to reach his goals and dreams. It will be a long road, but he has no plans on slowing down. The future is coming...stay tuned!
