I started writing songs at 14. I fell in love at 20, she was 19. I got married at 23 and then divorced 10 months later. At 24 I tried to commit suicide. Obviously, I failed. At 25 I fell in love again, this time with a man. A man who understood all of my pain and all of my shame. He showed me that I was so incredibly valuable that he was willing to give up his own life that I might live, forever. At first I found it hard to believe but, then little miracles started happening like my wife and I getting reconciled and remarried in 1988. Our son being born in '94 and our daughter in '99. And now, songs pour from a heart that is very grateful to the unmistakable and undeniable Grace that belongs to none other than Jesus Christ.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, anywhere we can. One of our more memorable moments was playing at Church on the Hill or MAC-NAZ in front of the middle schoolers. We were a little nervous thinking that maybe the "kids' wouldn't go for our music. Were we ever surprised! They jumped to their feet, ran to the front row, clapped in time, and even sang from the "power-point" words on the screen, regardless of the fact that they had never heard us or our songs before. Very cool!
Your musical influences

I have a Roland MP-60 Keyboard that is very mobile and sturdy. My brother Lee Stroud on bass has an Aslin Dane with a Peavy head. Our drummer Ken Hasel plays Ludwig Drums.Anything else?
The songs that I have downloaded here are DEMO recordings. We had 6 hours on a hot August day to record 12 songs so I know that there is room for improvement. That will come in time. My friends have encouraged me not to procrastinate and to get these out so that people can catch the vision of this ministry. Recording studio's are expensive and I am not too proud to admit that I just can't afford that luxury just yet. For now my hopes are that someone will be touched and changed by what they hear. All comments (2)
