Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Scott Allen Fraser has been involved in singing for as long as he can remember. Starting off as a five year old appearing with a childrens quartet on a weekly church television broadcast is where Scotty cut his teeth in performing before live audiences and he has felt comfortable there ever since. Scotty has performed for many years for anyone willing to listen, anywhere he has been fortunate enough to hang his hat. As a U.S. Air Force and Gulf War veteran, Scotty has a special place in his heart for those who serve tirelessly and selflessly for their country. He has the utmost respect for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country, no matter the cause or the cost. He honors those young men and women every chance he gets in his music and in his actions.
Scotty and Donnie Carvin co-wrote all of the songs you hear on this page as well as many others. Donnie Carvin, himself a very talented performer, sat down with Scotty for many hours on end and created new and different music. They dug deep into their collective pasts and look for the thoughts, dreams, pain, happiness, joy and all of the other emotions that drive the human spirit and have expressed it in song.
High energy shows is what Scotty is known for, having created a stir in the Middle Georgia region. He has played at Bike Rallys, Veteran Benefit Shows, Cancer Benefit Shows. In association with the Atlanta Opry, He and Donnie appeared at One Star Ranch, The Swallow at the Hollow and several other local establishments. Scotty will give you the same show no matter the size of the crowd, be it 2 or 20,000; his main goal is to ensure that folks leave the shows with a sense that they have been truly entertained.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play live whenever I get the opportunity. My feeling is that my music is better live...as I can connect with the audience and they can connect with me. It is a natural high with which no drug every invented can compare to.
Your musical influences
Scotty's influences are also diverse and include Bob Seger, Shooter Jennings, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Allman Brothers Band, Molly Hatchet, Ronnie Milsap, Don Williams, Tim McGraw, Toby Kieth and many others.
The sound he creates is a mixture of all the influences combined to deliver a sound that is retro yet fresh, biting yet smooth. Every song is different but at the same time it carries with it the similarity of style.
