I've been playing guitar and writing songs for a few years now. I don't have a band yet, and most of the songs I've written I've recorded solo with one of my acoustic guitars. As far as effects, I mostly use just a little compression and noise reduction...so these recordings sound pretty much as it would if I were playing live in the room with you.Have you performed in front of an audience?I'll usually play at home, at friends' houses, or maybe sitting around a camp fire. I do enjoy going out to a bar or club to preform. When time permits, I'll hit any local bar that hosts an open mic.
Your musical influences
Influences? That's a tough question. My taste in music is quite varied, and all of it has undoubtedly influenced my inspirations. I do listen to everything, but I must say some of my favorites include... Pink floyd, Bob Seager, Korn, Beethoven, Eric Clapton, Stonesour, System of a Down, Pantera, RHCP, Tom Petty, Eminem, Tom Petty, Beasty Boys, Metalica, Bob Dylan, NonPoint, GnR, Pantera, CCR, SlipKnot, Tchaikovsky, and the list goes on...What equipment do you use?
I have a Takamine EG230 and a Fender Telecoustic. Although both are fun I mostly play with my Takamine. It sounds best as just plain acoustic...at home or in the studio. If/When I must plug in I'll choose either the Fender or the Dean, depending on the desired sound (usually the tele-acoustic, as I prefer the acoustic sound.Stoner Scott's Joint Radio (SSJR)
