Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
First started under the alias Lyrical Arsonists (8 member crew) in 2001. Group went separate ways. By 2002 Scholaz was born: Makazzi, By-Sun, Red Blazin' and MoTiF.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Every talent show in HS, did coffee houses, performed for Lewis Farrakhan and Sunshine Anderson, what next? Who knows?
Your musical influences
Everyone who's been an innovator in this industry and everyone who's striving to be one. These are our influences. We truly love Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, Jay-Z, K. West, Nas, Cannibus, and every other true emcee.
What equipment do you use?
Mic's, Notepads, Scrap Paper (if necessary), pencil, pen, etc. We're "scholaz," so we'll basically turn any object into hip-hop "equipment."
