Savior's Child

A while back a man began something which over the next few years would build from a dream into a national phenomenon... Often imitated; never duplicated, Savior’s Child, a unique gospel group has taken the Southern Gospel genre and brought it full-force into the 21st century. Their story is like no other, and they create a sound and impression like no one else! Armed with inspiring songs of worship and powerful vocals that are unmatched, this trio has broken down the walls of mediocrity.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Savior's Child, comprised of Noel Walters, Anita Stapleton and Portia Hyde, has more than 35 years combined in the Gospel music industry. Walters founded the group in 2001. Since its inception, Savior’s Child has toured extensively throughout the country, ministering at churches and singing in concerts.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We do play live, all over the States. It's a calling for us.
Your musical influences
All the members have had a wide variety of influences. A lot of the old Quartets and many country artists as well. Two of the members have worked professionally with country artists such as Patty Loveless and Mel Tillis.
What equipment do you use?
Lots of Makie gear. Shure wirless mics. Future Sonic in-ear monitors. 360 Systems, Instant Replay for tracks.
Anything else?
The group is fairly new as far as gospel music standards go, but have already certainly created a name for themselves.
