SATANOCHIO
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The history of Satanochio begins in the winter
of 2004, somewhere in the suburbs of
Bucharest, when Satan Imparat - drums and
Satanochio voice and guitar, decide to create
a special music, never heard before in the
romanian underground. Since the beginning
the band wanted to keep a very dark image,
the members true identity remaining
unknown to this day. With this line-up
Satanochio launches the first "bomb" in the
romanian and international underground, a
cruel sample of repulsion and hate towards
everything thats going on in Romania.
The material, titled "The First Strike of the Possessed", has a total length of 11
minutes and was launched on 8.03.2005 in a limited edition of 33 copies in the
Underworld club in Bucharest, Romania. The music on this MCD is a combination
of noise/grind/raw black metal elements, sounding like its made by possessed
people. Although the press was acting in spite of this project, the material is
declared sold-out in only 3 weeks. Just a month after the launch of the debut
MCD, the drummer, Satan Imarat, suffers an accident which forces him to end the
collaboration with Satanochio.
In May, Satanochio decides to make a gift to a devoted fan, at that moment with
a one-man-band statute. Thus is born "The Naughty Nightfall Massacre" a 6-track
release limited to one Copy (!!!). The music on this unique material is somewhat
different than the one on "First Strike..." showcasing the Satanochio specific evil-
metal but from another perspective.
After a long series of problems and threats, Satanochio finds a new member,
called Grui Sanger (drums/guitar). Toghether, they enter their own studio with
the purpose of recording the first full-length release. Since the beginning,
through the management of Axa Valaha Productions, the band members
announced that the release is going to be a killer and will not have any conceptual
connection with their first studio release. Satanochio announced the title for this
release - "I am Satanochio" - mentioning that its going to be a declaration of war
on romanian underground.
