Welcome To My Page! I hope you like what you see and hear, um, here. As an artist, having the ability to upload my music and have others listen to it, and perhaps even give me pointers and encouragement, is so exciting!
Band/artist history
Music has always been a big part of my life. I started on the drums in high school, but then joined numerous bands and learned to play bass, guitar, and keyboards. I now work out of my own recording studio and play with various bands.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Here is a list of bands or groups I have performed with: J.A.M., Four Point, Andy Krenz and the Yokefellow, One Silver Coin, The Jeremy Kneeshaw Band.
Your musical influences
My music is somewhat eclectic, but I have a big Rock influence to me (I am still an 80's rocker at heart). I also enjoy Jazz influences, Latin, Progressive Rock, Pop, and even a little country. When I write, I seem to start with either a chord progression or a rhythm first, and then set words to it (though recently I have experimented with turning this all around and starting with lyrics first with no melody or sense of chords - makes for interesting musical compositions). Some of my best songs, however, are written in my head first (lyrics or a line and melody), and then I find the chords and sounds to match. Thus, if you will notice, I try everything!
What equipment do you use?
I use a Yamaha Stage Custom Advantage drum kit, miked with Audio Technica and AKG mics. My guitars are Schecter, Fender, Taylor, Peavey (for now), and my amps are GK and H & K. I use Roland and Alesis keyboards. Recording-wise, I use Sonar software, and Tascam and QSC hardware. A few VST plug-ins later (including Guitar Rig) and it sounds like what you hear.
