Here at SPS, it's about the music. The Bird Digs Music, especially high quality music.
SPS is founded by the owner, Ernest Hart, and he does his best to produce music that is both entertaining, and of as high a quality as he can muster on limited resources.
Despite the inability to physically PLAY an instrument to any large extent, he will sit for hours on end to bring you the best sounding pieces within his ability to mix. Trust his ears, The Bird does.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Samurai Penguin Studios was founded in February 2007 by Ernest Hart. Asside from the official website hosted by a kind web-master, there isn't much to say since not much has really happened.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Negetive. I can't play an instrument well enough to do a life performance.
Your musical influences
One of my largest influences is the Jpop band TWO MIX, known for titles such as JUST COMMUNICATION and WHITE REFLEXTION. Stunning pieces that take anything available, and put them together to the best of the Artists abilities. As one would expect, their name describes exactly their style, a Two Mix.
I'm also influenced by Megumi Hayashibara, Noubo Uetsume (FF7 Advent Children), BT (Stealth movie soundtrack.) And just about anything else I listen to and like.
What equipment do you use?
My computer with Reason 3.0 and Digital Orchestraitor Pro (DoP is ANCIENT...)
Optimus SA - 155 Integrated Stereo Amp with two Power Drive speakers.
Optimus SSM - 1750 Surround Sound Mixer
Audio Technica DR -CX1 studio condensor microphone.
Anything else?
Uh... Don't be surprised if my music doesn't match my marked Genre... I like to Two Mix as much as TWO MIX. I might have missed the option somewhere.
