The Critically Self-Proclaimed Too Wild Yankees Band puts the "D" in Dance...with high-fallutin' rootin' tootin' singalong numbers that have a rockabilly sound all their own... like very few other entertainers. From the unique Rockabilly Semi-Twang Elvis Presley/Bing Crosby/Jimmy Buffet vocal-stylings of lead singer and guitar player "Singing" Sammy to the equally talented heart-throbbing beat of world famous "Indiana" Tommy Clark's harmonica, whistling, and drum sticks... you will hear more old-timey Americana songs in 55 minutes than you ever dreamed possible. These two entertainment virtuosos take the audience on a ride from Country... to Rock n Roll... to Patriotic... to Sunday Go to Meeting songs... that literally force young and old audiences to sing along, tap their toes, and snap their fingers.Band/artist history
The Too Wild Yankees Band has been performing Live for over 4 years... with more than 750 charity concerts.Have you performed in front of an audience? We perform about 10 live concerts a month at various Senior Living Venues in Reno, Nevada. We have been told that our music has created a few miracles for the Seniors.
Your musical influences
This is great to give people an idea of what to expect. Are you more into crashing guitars or motown r&b? (It's also great to drop keywords for search engines.)Our music is distinctly unique from just about any other bands around.
A few influences... in no order of importance: Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jimmy Buffett, Bing Crosby, Frankie Lane, Murle Haggard, Hank Williams Senior, Gene Autry, Buck Owens, Beatles, Bob Wills and Texas Playboys, Eddie Arnold, etc, etc. Furthermore, much of our music is Public-Domain/Americana based with no particular performers that influenced our style. What equipment do you use?
Guitar, harmonicas, drumsticks, tambourine, and whistling.Anything else?
Anything else...?
The Too Wild Yankees Band is unique... with their musical stylyings... and their Live Jolly Repartee. The only "reward" ever asked for or accepted is the smiling faces and cheers of the audiences.
By the way the Portrait is circa 1979.chevro's station
