Sam Creigh
I'm a singer/songwriter and I usually perform solo. I have a lot of musical friends and they help me out when I record.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started off as a bass player and slowly graduated to solo acoustic guitar. I live in an isolated area, so this is more convenient, but I do enjoy jamming with my friends. Working alone has many advantages when you don't live in a very populated area. There's a rather lengthy bio at my website, www.sam-creigh.com (after February 1, www.samcreigh.com!)
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes I do. I follow the tourist season -- winters in the Northeast ski areas and summers in the lake country of Minnesota.
Your musical influences
Beatles, Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Jimmy Buffett, John Prine, Neil Young, Arlo Guthrie
What equipment do you use?
I play a Martin acoustic guitar with a Fishman saddle pickup. My sound system is comprised of two self-powered 10" JBL speakers and a Mackie 1202 mixer with Audio Technica mics.
