Saint Skin
Saint Skin: It's not just electronica, but a mix of acoustic, ambient, and hip hop flavours. It's altogether soft, vibrant, and sometimes sobre and other times thoughtful; but above all, it strives to relax and invoke mood in the listener.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Yeah, I could tell you all about the cheesy Fruity Loops tracks I started out doing, or the low-fi, super-distorted guitar tracks I did back in the day, but then I would have to kill you.
So let's look to the future instead.
Your musical influences
Mike E. Clark, Pepino D'Augustino, Alice In Chains, Radiohead, Nobuo Uematsu, Esthero, and at least a thousand more. But mostly Angry Johnny and the Killbillies...mostly...
What equipment do you use?
Reason 2.5 on a G4 Mac running OSX 10.2.8 for producing, and a Fender Squire acoustic guitar for writing.
Anything else?
I have a friend named "Crazy Eddie"; he has an invisible pink bunny that tells him what to do. Eddie listens to this bunny because he wants to make the it happy and, also, because he fears the bunny's wrath. People laugh at Eddie because they think he's insane. The thought of listening to, and following, an invisible anything seems absurd. But how is Crazy Eddie's bunny any less plausible than gOD? (Thanks Matt)
