Sage Bravo

Malcolm Peoples, better known as Sage Bravo, was born March 15th, 1985 in West Baltimore, MD. Eldest of three siblings, Malcolm has been tuned into music since he could talk. His name speaks for itself. Sage meaning one of wisdom, accentuates his well detailed, knowledge influenced, street smart lyrics, along with a plethera of different styles and solid flow. Bravo, coming from his high-school friend, and long time teammate Rockey, was inspired when Sage would spit and it resulted in Rockey saying "Bravo, Bravo!!". Multi-talented, Malcolm learned many of the major aspects of the music business without going to college, or without being taught. He also taught himself the ins and outs of production hardware, software, and terms. Also educated in hip hop history, his influences stretch as far as David Ruffin of the Temptations, Marvin Gaye, and Sam Cooke, to modern day influences such as Jay-Z, Lupe Fiasco, Canibus, Nas, and Joe Budden. He never lacks motivation, as he has a mother and stepdad with major drug habits, having being homeless from winters without heat and water, to a paralyzed little sister and a newborn daughter. Malcolm also believes that he could've been part of the music industry years ago, but thanks God everyday for keeping him patient and focused on his gift. Currently, he resides in West Baltimore's Liberty Heights and Garrison area, and is getting ready to release another installment of his "Comfort Of My Own Home" series, a street album, "Don't Speak On Behalf Of Greatness", and his well coveted new mixtape "The Preliminary".
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I used to rock shows heavy, but it slowed down a lil, but i'm a start my grizzly back up this comin year.
Your musical influences
I pay respects to our almighty Lord and Savior, as far as music and business, i'm influenced by president Shawn Carter. He's the epidemy of money, and that's my move so I respect a hustler who do it like that. Other influences are Cassidy, Carmelo Anthony, Nas, Game, Big Daddy Kane, Easy E, Jadakiss, Russell Simmons, and a whole lot more.
What equipment do you use?
I also produce, engineer, and arrange. I use Adobe Audition or Sound Forge to do vocals and stuff. As far as production, i'm learning Reason, but I tamper with the FL8 XXL Edition. I also started learning how to use the MPC and the Korg Triton. And slowly i'm learning Pro Tools so holla at me.
Anything else?
If anybody can give a window for your boy to climb thru, look out for me please. If you are an A&R please leave messages, or email me @ sagebravomusic@yahoo.com. I have a mixtape called "The Comfort Of My Own Home". If you want the original copy, hit me up. God Bless and Stand Up B-More.
