Sachi is an alternative rock band based in Southern California and led by a Japanese American female singer. The music is a blend of hard rock and neo-punk guitar songs with a 70s-era synth sound in the mix.Band/artist history
Sachi is a four-piece alternative hard rock group led by a Japanese-American female singer. The band is Melissa Pinion, vocals/keyboards, Jesse Maust, guitar, Chuck Henry, bass, and Jorge Toruno, drums.
The idea of Sachi started in 2000 when Melissa was working on a solo album called "Reflection." The collection of 14 songs, ranging from pop punk to melodic metal and funk, was independently released in 2001.
In 2003, the band put out its second and more collaborative album "Synthesis," a broad selection of electronic-driven alternative and metal. The band has self-promoted the CD in venues big and small, from Hollywood to Arizona, as well as charity telethons, the Relay for Life and fundraisers for the American Red Cross tsunami relief.
In early 2006, Sachi released its first DVD called "Live from the Dives," a home-produced collection of some of the groups finest performances, as well as behind-the-scenes moments and interviews.
Sachi released its third album "Planet Gemini", a sci-fi concept album based on the singer's debut novel of the same title in August 2009.Have you performed in front of an audience? The band appears in clubs throughout Southern California.

D'yzl:
Thanks for the note. I'll try to check out your tunes over the weekend. Good to hear you're from the 909. And close by as well. I'm a Highland/San Berdoo native. Saw some familiar club names on your site too (I've thought about playing China Beach out in Mo. Vall).
Keep in touch dude.
M.Yes! More artists from the 909 San Bernardino/Highland area! And with talent! You guys are really good. Definitely have a classic style, but with an original twist. Heard the freefall song and cyberdog. The lyrics on both are very catchy and they stick in your head. Your singer is very very very good. Almost sounded like 2 different singers at first on the first track. Good job on that. I myself am a rapper/singer/producer/engineer/ghostwriter, but I dabble into all categories. I've done rock songs, reggae, r&b, everything. And I can write all types of stuff. If you ever need a ghostwriter hit me up. Also, when you get the chance, feel free to check out my site. I think you'll like "Hurt", "Eyes Wide Shut", my current single "Put The Stank On It" which is a raprock mix I produced, my rock song "OBFY", and this new song I did with this alternative cat named "I Thought I Knew You" which I wrote and arranged. Tell me what you think and keep making great music and representAll comments (3)
