RYLE

Ryle is from Cove City, North Carolina. Falling into the metal genre, Ryle prides their musical influences to bands like Metallica, Slayer, Madball and Trivium. Ryle musicians Justin Hornung-lead guitar, Kenny Hill-rhythm guitar, and Mike LeFever-drums/percussions with ages ranging from 23 to 30. We are currently auditioning for vocals and bass guitar. Ryle was conceived in November 2005 when three North Carolina bands parted ways. Justin and Mike from PG23, a metal band based in Morehead City, Kevin from Road Not Taken, a rock band based in Goldsboro and later adding Jeff Sills the bass player from The Karmatics, an alternative/indie band also based in Goldsboro united as one. All three bands were managed by Confused Illusion Music Management out of Goldsboro and played several shows together. When Jeff parted ways to jointly open a recording studio with a long time friend, Ryle played without a bass player for almost a year. They searched the entire time for the right musician to fulfill that role. They brought in Chris Powell, who stepped up to the plate nicely for RYLE. Just weeks after adding Chris, the marines came and snatched him away. (We still of them tho!) In the short two years the band has been together, they have impressed fans, record labels, internet radio directors and magazines with their music and self motivated attitudes. They currently have had their music requested by music agencies in the United Kingdom, Australia, Lithuania, Texas, Florida, Ohio, California, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Georgia and Tennessee just to name a few. Within the first six months of coming together, Ryle did an interview with Zach Hill for The News Argus, Goldsboros local newspaper. They have also accepted an offer from Network Pacific Record Label to have their song Societies Mouth to be included in the labels up-and-coming metal sampler with plans on release in April 2007. Ryle has also been invited by Brian Wayy, of Teletunez Inc to let him shop their music to companies like Warner Brothers, CBS-Paramount and FOX for possible usage of their songs in select TV shows. The musicians of Ryle are serious about where they are headed. The first step they took was to hire their staff. Their manager is Cindy Pruitt, owner of Confused Illusion Music Management and booking agent, Jessie Jones, owner of Big D Music Promotions are currently on staff. They have signed contracts with both companies. Their Booking Agent diligently works on keeping the shows rolling in. They have approximately 50 shows under their belt since their conception with approximately 15 currently scheduled to play throughout 2007. Several of those shows have been for benefits held in the local communities. Ryles musicians believe in giving back to their communities with something they love to do, their music. Ryle released their first 7 song CD just one month shy of their first year together. The comments from their fans were extremely positive. The band has established musician descriptions to incorporate their practices, music inputs by each member of the band so that no member is more tasked than another. This in-turn guarantees that all shows run as smoothly as possible. This also ensures that each member understands their responsibility and role in the band. They treat practices as not only time to work on new material, but also to get feedback from each other on stage performances and ways to keep their fans entertained the entire time they are on stage. They band has a full sound PA with all the necessities to carry on a show entirely on their own along with each musician having all the necessary items to carry their portion of the load in the band. Ryles confidence and drive far exceed many bands of their age. It takes most bands many years to accomplish what Ryle has in the 18 months together. Not only do they write most of their material they also have several cover songs from bands they love. This gives a crowd that has never heard Ryle a way to measure their musical abilities. Many fans have stated, We like your version of that song better than the original artist. Ask any member of Ryle what their goal is youll get a similar answer. Each would say, We love what we do and we do what we love. Music is our life, it runs in our blood, it controls our minds, its our destiny, its our desire; its who we are.
