Currently playing with two different quartets throughout the south bay.
Your musical influences
For technique, I listen to an even combination of both jazz and blues artists: Sonny Rollins, Red Prysock, Benny Golson, King Curtis, Dexter Gordon, and Cannonball among others. I've been told I lay back on the beat like Dexter Gordon.
What equipment do you use?
Current tenor setup:
Selmer Mark VI (circa '62)
Selmer S80 / Meyer mouthpieces
Saxworks Wedge ligature (new from Saxworks!)
Vandoren Java (red box) reeds
Recent recordings made with a Zoom H2 audio recorder.
