Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started playing bass in a punk/funk band called Stamp when I was 16 years old (much respect to Andy Dorsett, now of Vert). I then went on to play with a slam funk band called Monolith (just as much respect to Joe Ball, Lucky Singh, Russell Green and James Turner).
During my time with Monolith we played various venues across the Midlands including The Little Civic, The Varsity, and loads of fundraising gigs. There's a copy of our old demo available - e-mail nineteen_52@hotmail.com
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play live with my Indie/Folk/Funk singer Nikki Rous at venues across Shropshire and with a female fronted covers band in Telford/Shrewsbury. Also with an indie band called Nineteen52 part time.
Your musical influences
My main influences are Stuart Zender, Nick Fyffe, Flea, Mark King, Les Claypool, Jaco Pastorius and Marcus Miller......
I love the funk and acid jazz,
What equipment do you use?
I use a 300Watt Trace Elliot Bass Head (AH300SMC)
And a G300 Laney 4X12 Bass Cab (L300)
Anything else?
None but our self can free our mind!! (Bob Marly)
