Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
rural chiscurlz... a filipino indie band formed sometime around May, 2005. Composed of people drawn together by a common blood, but from different regions around the Philippines. Frances Ybañez (Vocals/Guitar), Iris Ybañez (Keyboards), Joseph Ybañez (Vocals), Paolo Abrihan (Bass) and Faye Abrihan (Percussions) were from the Philippine's capital, Manila; while brother and sister, Judd (Lead Guitar) and Nikita (vocals) Abello came from Bacolod city, somewhere in the Visayas region. Together they came to Cebu for a summer vacation and ended up forming the band together with Kim Abasola (Vocals) and the psychadelic drummer, John Ceniza. These 9 special and talented individuals form the band "Rural Chiscurlz." Later that month they recorded their self-entitled debut album, composed of 6 original tracks, written by different members of the band.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
so far we've played 2 gigs... our first was at Ayala Center Cebu, where we played at a recital held by our cousins and at our Uncle Greg's birthday party. We're looking forward to jam some more and play other gigs in the future

What equipment do you use?
we use fender and marshall amps, a squier stratocaster for Judd and a custom made guitar for frances. Paolo uses a washburn 5 string bass and John uses a Pearl Forum Series 5 piece drumset with Sabian cymbals...
