---Disclaimer!!!! all the tune i have here are tune i made back in 04 and later. i will be posting an arsinel of new tunes and samples of current works in progress i wish to share soon. PROMISE! :) Mike Ruckus has been fluently involved in the Fort McMurray underground music scene ever since the early 90's. Performing with many artist at local events/garage band parties, and participated in many organizations holding, and promoting older known Alberta bands like "The Smalls," "Day-Glo Abortions," "Unsound," and "Disciples of power" to name a few. '96 was Mike's first introduction to the Electronica age. It was during a visit at a friend's house, and after a days worth of battling for 1st place on QUAKE 2 Lan-Party. Mike was put in front of a very generic sampling sequencer for pc, and figured out the basics to song arrangement, and simple forms of sample editing and track sequencing. In '98 Ruckus moved to Calgary and then was introduced to djing with a pair of nu-mark belt drive turntables. It wasn't until the summer of 1999 when he was finally able to taste a pair of Technics 1200's mk3's. He attended his first electronic event in 2000 at "The Republic" in Calgary. This was his first dose of the Jungle/breaks genre. His first REAL Drum and Bass party was Fright Night 7 in 2001. Then Mike went on promoting his first Drum and Bass weekly in the spring/summer of 2001. "Drunk'n'jungle" was held in the basement at "What's up Café" on 17th Ave and 4th street. Since then, Mike had spent most of that summer making money to fuel his MASSIVE lust for jugle/d&b vinyl collection and production gear. He has performed, promoted and held on to weekly residencies in many cities of Canada, from Toronto's "Industry," System Sound Bar", To Winnipeg at "The Empire Cabaret," and "The Die Machine." And many more clubs in Calgary, Edmonton, Banff, Kamloops, Kelowna, and Vancouver. Late 2004 brought mike back to his home town, founding his label "BeatzonWax Recordings" est. 2004. Since then Ruckus has been rocking and leading Fort McMurrays hip-hop and urban scene into a new era by throwing and djing along side headliner acts Classified, DJ-IV, D.O. Jay-Bru, DL Incognito, Jordan Croucher, Slimpickins, Royalties Entertainment, and he has helped out with promotions with other events including djs De-koze, and Robb G. Mike Ruckus now holds down a weekend residency at Fort McMurray's Longest running night life "diggers Variety Club" and has played at several hiphop/dance bar/clubs/pubs in and around town including Diesel Night Club, Tavern on Main, and soon to be at Delaney's. You can always expect the dance floor to be outta control when you got yer hometown boy rocking the decks!
