Ruby Blue
Ruby Blue, we're a five piece band hailing from sunny Wrexham. Throughout Ruby Blue history, we've had fallouts, dropouts and random shouts, but its been a brilliant time. The Line Up Now is Becky Curran(Lead Vocals), Danny K(Guitar 1, backing vocals), Jac Roberts(Guitar 2), Ben Sawin(Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals)and Tom Ryan. Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Well...as i said before, we've gone through many different sounds, line ups. But we're pretty happy with how things are now.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We've played live a few time, never done a headline gig. Usually supporting other bands such as Katch and Decadenze. We've done a few battle of the bands. This year, we hope to put our selves out there more. We all love playing live. We've grown closer as a band, and when we go out there and play tunes we've wrote together, it just makes it all worth it. Every moment is special really, couldn't pick one.
Your musical influences
All our tastes vary really. We're all into the Pigeon Detectives, The View, Milburn, Arctic Monkeys loads. We got Jac who's into the Smiths, Rolling Stones and Bowie. Ben, who's Into Snow Patrol, Dirty Pretty Things, The Libertines. I'm well into my oldies, The Beatles, The Kinks, The Stones. i'm into the 90's loads as well. Oasis, Stone Roses, The Verve. Tom's into , Velvet Underground. Lou Reed. Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The Strokes. Becky's into the latest indie, like The View and that
What equipment do you use?
Dan: Tokai Love Rock, Epiphone Sheraton, Vox AC30, Boss Ds-1, Ibanez TS7, Chorus Pedal. Jac: Vox Valvetronix, Epiphone E335 dot, Boss Sd-1. Ben: A shiny bass and a carlsbro bass amp. Tom: Some drums like innit!
