Rubber Guitar
Welcome to the Rubber Guitar Web Page. Glad you could "drop in and sit a spell". Most songs here are "in the rough" and still under construction but a few are finished. Some are a little strange but the serious Christian songs are usually of a country flavor.
I (the band - Rubber Guitar) live in East Tennesse near the Great Smokie Mountains near Knoxville Tennesse. Rubber Guitar has Mike on the bass, Mike on the rhythm guitar, Mike on the lead guitar and mandolin, and Mickey the PC for drums. (The bass player is the rowdiest).
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We never really existed(?) . . . This is an Prototype Air Band.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Every Sunday with a traveling group from church to church. . . and . . . every Thursday with a group that love Bluegrass Gospel . . . but not as Rubber Guitar. That's an imaginary band that really never existed until now.
Your musical influences
Loooooongggg list. Got quite a few I could mention. Of course I'd need to mention the Flaming Embers from Detroit. Bill's the best keyboard player around and had a major influence on some of my music. And, there's a cousin of my wife, Chris Wallin. He has written quite a few songs for well known singers. "Don't Blink" to name one. You guys need to pick up a copy of it. Others are too long to mention . . .
What equipment do you use?
Fender Strat mostly. A couple of flat tops and a mandolin. Mandolin's sound strange in rock though. For recording I use Multitrack Studio. Pretty Good software, I have no complaints.
If you want to look it over:
Multitrack Studio
I have a studio comprised of three PC's, one with Win2000, one with WinXP, and a LINUX machine for my website.
