Another Steely Dan classic. Licensed through the publisher.
Another Steely Dan cover! The original featured a killer guitar track by Larry Carlton. My apologies, Larry. As always, all licenses and permissions obtained.
A lot of us have been thinking about this lately...right??
I've loved this song since I was 8 years old. I figured "WTH, why not give it a shot?" And it has a fascinating story.... This song was originally from "The Threepenny Opera", a German opera first staged in 1928. It was co-written by Bertolt Brech
This track was inspired by a Jeff Beck song called "Big Block". His song sounds like a big block motor, Jeff being a hot rod guy. My song is called "50:1 Gas To Oil", which is the fuel mixture commonly used in a weedeater motor. That's about right
This was my introduction to Webb Wilder, way back in the 70s. This is still my all-time favorite WW song. All licenses and permissions obtained.
This is a little different for me.... It's a cover of a Webb Wilder song, written by David Grissom who also plays guitar on Webb's version. Webb Wilder is, of course, The Last Of The Full Grown Men, and I am a HUGE fan! All licenses obtained.
This is probably my all time favorite Steely Dan song. I guess it's the overall funkiness of it...... All licenses and permissions obtained.
A "Trip For Biscuits" is a term con men use for wasted effort; a con that doesn't pay off. I find this stuff fascinating. This song is full of terms that are strange and colorful to me, actually it almost wrote itself...
Another tune from my album of covers. A great song by Jonny Lang. All licenses and permissions obtained.
In my dreams I'm Jeff Beck. (In my DREAMS!!) Another tune from my album of covers, a Jeff Beck classic from his "Wired" album. NOTE: I didn't try to recreate JB's playing on this, no one can. My friend Donte Purdy (who did a FANTASTIC job on the ke
Sometimes you start a musical journey with no particular destination. Inevitably the twists and turns of that journey take you to unexpected places. This is the case with this particular piece. I have no idea what's going on here, thus the title....
This is something a little different from me, a short instrumental thing I did for a movie trailer. Don't know if they're gonna use it or not. As for the title, well....
Some people will hate this song. They are, of course, the people it's about. One man's trash....
Another Delbert McClinton song. What can I say, he's the Master!
Another Delbert McClinton cover. The original features Lyle Lovett and John Prine as guest vocalists. I couldn't get Lyle and John over to the house so I had to do all the vocals :) All licenses and permissions obtained through Loudr.
A cover of the Robert Cray classic. All rights and/or permissions obtained.
