Rozencrantz the Sane
As I work with different kinds of equipment and grow my musical vocabulary, this project will stand as a record of my development. A wide range of styles are represented, I never tie myself down to any one genre.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Early in 2004, a friend showed my SynFactory, a simple demonstration of modular synthesis. Later on I became familiar with Midi sequencing, but I have taken a self taught and mostly naive attack to everything, exploring the world of music with innocent eyes.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I don't yet have the equipment to play live, but I'm hoping that I can change that soon.
Your musical influences
Otomo Yoshihide and Sachiko M's stripped down soundscapes, the Flatform music of Milton Babbit and Chris Bailey, and a myriad others.
What equipment do you use?
Whatever PC is handy, Scala, Synfactory 1.16, Midget Midi Sequencer, Audacity, a Tape recorder, Found Objects, eKeys MIDI controller
Anything else?
Music has lost all meaning beyond how enjoyable it is to listen to, so to infuse it with new meaning we must celebrate and explore the world it inhabbits, that of sounds, rhythm, tone.
