About
Route Downs love for electronica is almost as infectious as the music itself. He is well acquainted with the textures and layers needed to create bumpin songs. Evolving from punk/hardcore roots, he eventually fell in love with electronic music and the whole club scene. Route Down describes the experience, saying he felt a rush when he heard, the hypnotizing rhythm, slammin beats, and enough bass to cause an earthquake. I would just roam around the club with such a happy and free feeling I had never felt from music before.
Inspiration
Everything came alive in his mind when he first started playing with beat machines. The beats were rough, but all I was thinking about was the power to make music was right there in front of me; beats, melodies, and bass ohh how I love the bass! It was then that Route Down was born, determined to add his own brand of panache to the club scene.
Inspiration
When asked to describe his musical philosophy he said that, Music is the most abstract phenomenon known to man. Music is a form of art. Its creation and its emotional resonance is often very mysterious. It is this mystery that Route Down thrives in and uses as inspiration for his music. I like all kinds of music. I grew up listening to punk and hardcore like classics from the Sex Pistols, Bad Brains, Black Flag, old rock and roll, blues, funk, hip hop, I like it all except country, that twang just scratches my ear drum the wrong wayWhat equipment do you use?
